The Design Process
At Candidly Kim Interiors, we specialize in designing the entire space or parts of your space. We can be as hands on or hands off as you like. We have a wealth of experience and can help you pick every single item for your home. From the door knobs to the throw pillows, details are our thing! If you have your own architect and builder we will work closely with them to create a cohesive plan that is completely YOU. We can also work with you from the messiness to the reveal and design your entire home, working in collaboration with our fellow contractors.

Here is what to expect during the Design Process:
Step 1: In-Home Consultation / Intake Meeting
Once you have submitted project inquiry on our contact page, we will set up a visit to discuss the details of your project and to introduce you to our company and philosophy. The first conversation is about determining if we are a good match for working together. We will also discuss desired budget, timeline and expectations. Following that call, if we decide we would like to work together, an estimate of our design fees will be emailed to you.
Step 2: Contract Signing
If we decide to move forward in a partnership, a contract will be drafted and sent to you. After we receive a signed contract, we will begin to work on your design plans for your project. Our goal is to create the environment that best suits you and your family’s lifestyle.
Step 3: Design Plans & 3D Renderings
We create 2-3 design plans that includes photos, fabrics, paint samples, and other materials that captures all of the ideas and desires we discussed in our meetings. You will have the option to choose one design plan from the options presented to you. We will also tweak any plan to meet your needs and/or wants into a final design. After you’ve signed off on the design plan, a 3D rending of your space(s) will be prepared to give you a realistic view of the end result.
Step 4: Procurement
Here comes the fun part! After step 3, our team gets to work on ordering furniture and other materials. Additionally, all carpentry work is scheduled.
If your project includes a complete renovation, this is where the messy part begins, where the concept of your home begins to take shape and become a reality. This part of the project is known as “The Big Waiting Period,” in which the team at Candidly Kim is working meticulously behind the scenes to make sure all your needs and/or wants are met and all your goods arrive as planned. We will be checking in on your project as often as we need to just to make sure everything is running smoothly.
Step 5: Installation & Accessorizing
Once all renovations are completed, our cleaning crew will come in to clean your space before all your furniture and accessories are placed. Once everything you want is in place we present you with the BIG REVEAL of your NEW HOME!!
